DUBUQUE, Iowa (KWWL) -- Caroline's Restaurant in Dubuque has been declared as the winner of the 2023 Best Omelet in Iowa contest. The Iowa Egg Council declared the winner on Wednesday morning in a Facebook post. Caroline's Restaurant won the contest for their chorizo omelet. The four other contest finalists were Beggin' for an Eggin' in Creston, Eggs and Jam in Des Moines, Klunder's Kafe in New Hampton and Johnson's Restaurant in Elkader.
